Per non dimenticare Fabio di Celmo

Il 4 settembre 1997 Fabio di Celmo veniva assassinato dall’esplosione di una bomba nella hall dell’Hotel Copacabana a La Habana. L’attentatore era stato addestrato dalla CIA in Florida e i mandanti non furono mai processati in quanto protetti dagli Stati Uniti.

Dopo 26 anni Fabio non è stato dimenticato!

Continueremo a chiedere giustizia per Fabio e per le altre 3478 vittime del terrorismo straniero a Cuba, così come chiediamo, a gran forza, che venga tolta Cuba dalla lista degli stati sponsor del terrorismo.

“Ricordiamo Fabio Di Celmo, turista italiano morto in atto terroristico in hotel cubano nel 1997. Posada Carriles e altri organizzatori del fatto, vivevano liberi negli USA, il cui governo, cinicamente e ingannevolmente, ha messo Cuba nella lista degli sponsor del terrorismo“.

Miguel Diaz-Canel, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, recalled today the young Italian tourist Fabio Di Celmo, victim of a terrorist act in a Cuban hotel in 1997.

On X, formerly Twitter, the president condemned the act and those responsible for the event who lived free in the United States.

Diaz-Canel denounced the U.S. government for not acting against what happened while keeping the Caribbean island on the list of countries that allegedly sponsor terrorism.

Fabio died at the age of 32 after shrapnel from a firecracker exploded in the lobby of the Copacabana Hotel, where he was staying, penetrated his body.

That same day, other explosions took place in Havana at the Triton and Chateau Miramar hotels and at the Bodeguita del Medio restaurant, causing material damage to those tourist facilities.

Luis Posada Carriles, responsible for the bombing of a Cubana airliner in Barbados in October 1976, was the mastermind of these events, who hired, paid and supplied the explosives to the Salvadoran Raul Ernesto Cruz Leon to carry out the plan.

Miguel Diaz-Canel, Primo Segretario del Comitato Centrale del Partito Comunista di Cuba e Presidente della Repubblica, ha ricordato oggi il giovane turista italiano Fabio Di Celmo, vittima di un atto terroristico in un hotel cubano nel 1997.

Su X, ex Twitter, il presidente ha condannato l’atto e i responsabili dell’evento che vivevano liberi negli Stati Uniti.

Diaz-Canel ha denunciato il governo statunitense per non aver agito contro l’accaduto, mantenendo l’isola caraibica nella lista dei Paesi che presumibilmente sponsorizzano il terrorismo.

Fabio è morto all’età di 32 anni dopo che le schegge di una bomba esplosa nella hall dell’Hotel Copacabana, dove alloggiava, sono penetrate nel suo corpo.

Lo stesso giorno, altre esplosioni hanno avuto luogo all’Avana negli hotel Triton e Chateau Miramar e nel ristorante Bodeguita del Medio, causando danni materiali a queste strutture turistiche.
